We just returned from three weeks in Spain, where Kyra was doing research, and I was hanging out with Nikolai (who incidentally turns two years old tomorrow). I can relate to your challenges of traveling and doing research with children in tow, and I'd love to teach Niko to be a cultural observer. He can't quite work a digital camera yet or take notes, but he did draw some impressive interpretations of Picasso's <I>La Guernica</I> in Crayola.
