Immigration is changing the complexion of American cities, a trend that is particularly noticible in U.S. cities in the West. The Washington Post reports on a recent analysis of census data by the
Brookings Institution that revealed that immigrant settlement in Pheonix, Tucson and Denver has shifted the populations so that whites are now less than 50% of the overall population. These demographic shifts are not related to "white-flight," the the influx of immigrants from other places in the U.S.
