It appears that immigrants who have been arrested along so-called "zero-tolerance zones" along the U.S.-Mexico border will have the assurance that they will not be given a mass trial. My only question is why this was ever in doubt.
The establishment of "zero-tolerance zones" was part of Operation Streamline. the program has been credited with decreasing the number of unauthorized border crossings, but it has also drawn criticism because many advocates believe that immigrants are pushed through the system without a chance to fairly defend themselv
