Real Immigration Stories

As a folklorist, I'm not surprised at the increased interest in oral history--between Story Corps and other local "voices" programs, the general public is becoming aware of the power of the testimony (testimonio) and that local knowledge and experience provides insights to everyday life. I've linked to a page on the American Friends Service Committee website that highlights the stories of real immigrants.
