Illegal, but Essential

This article from today's L.A. Times highlights the realistic dilemma that the anti-immigration folks just do not want to acknowledge: undocumented immigrants are a driving force in the U.S. economy, and if they were to stop coming the economy would suffer. The author provides solid economic data regarding the net benefits of immigration for the U.S., and counters the argument that the undocumented take jobs from documented and native-born U.S. residents.
